Challenge

Integrating the One Player solution for Langham Place's digital signage network presented a significant challenge. As a large-scale shopping mall in Hong Kong, Langham Place's existing Wi-Fi infrastructure was unable to provide reliable connectivity across all areas of the complex.

Langham Place was adamant about avoiding the use of Lan cables, as they desired the flexibility to relocate their digital kiosks to different areas of the mall as needed. This requirement posed a considerable obstacle, as a stable internet connection is crucial for the seamless operation of the One Player solution.

The lack of comprehensive Wi-Fi coverage threatened to negatively impact the reliability and performance of the digital signage system, which could, in turn, affect the overall image and experience of Langham Place. This was a critical concern that required a tailored and effective solution.

Solution

Despite the significant challenge presented by the lack of reliable Wi-Fi coverage across Langham Place's sprawling shopping mall, One Techsoft AI was able to successfully navigate and overcome this obstacle.

After detailed discussions with the Langham Place team, we proposed an all-in-one solution that addressed their key requirements. This comprehensive solution included a movable digital kiosk, the One Player digital signage system, and a dedicated 4G router.

The integration of the 4G router proved to be a pivotal component in ensuring the stability and performance of the digital signage network. By leveraging the reliable 4G cellular connectivity, we were able to bypass the limitations of Langham Place's existing Wi-Fi infrastructure, eliminating the need for Lan cables and preserving the desired flexibility in kiosk placement.

Importantly, the 4G router solution was seamlessly integrated into the overall system, ensuring that the digital signage displays maintained a consistent and uninterrupted performance without compromising the aesthetic appeal of the mall's environment.

Result

Langham Place had initially requested the deployment of approximately 30 digital kiosks. After we implemented the comprehensive solution, which included the integration of the One Player system and the dedicated 4G router, the client was able to easily move the kiosks to different sections of the mall as needed.

Additionally, the content management system we provided allowed Langham Place to effortlessly change and schedule playlists across the various kiosks. This flexibility was highly appreciated by the client, as it enabled them to efficiently manage and optimize the content displayed on the digital signage network.
